Product & Process

7 Steps

A great finish starts with what you can't see. Every ABS plate is degreased, inspected and quality checked before any work begins, so only flawless plates make it onto the line.

Three to four hours, for every single plate. Each one is sanded until the surface is perfectly smooth, giving the paint a clean, even base to bond to. The slowest step, and the one you'll feel every time you pick it up.

Each plate is mounted on its own fixture, held steady and spaced apart, so every curve and edge meets the paint evenly. Ready for the line.

Three booths. Five coats. PPG paint.
Booth 1: a primer coat, then flash off.
Booth 2: the colour, built up in three base coats, flashed off between each.
Booth 3: a clear top coat for depth and that deep, glassy shine.

Into the oven. Baking cures primer, colour and clear into a single hard-wearing finish, made to take daily use and still look new.

Every plate is inspected again once it's painted, checking finish, colour and coverage. Only the ones that pass leave the floor.

Carefully packed and sent straight to your door, ready to fit. From bare plate to your setup.
